The Home Depot Do-It-Herself Workshop

TGIF Everyone!  Hope you are as excited for the weekend as I am.  My family has some fun outdoor activities planned so bring on that 5 O’ clock whistle!!

Since we are talking about fun times, let me tell you what I did last night.  Home Depot hosts monthly Do-It-Herself Workshops!  This months project was to create a wooden shelf.

They provided all of the supplies and tools and assisted the ladies (and one dude!) with our projects.

The folks at The Home Depot were awesome to work with too, and they made this workshop so much fun.

Everyone could get “hands-on” and try out power tools and building materials.  {Introducing my friend Brenda – put.the.drill.down.and.walk.away.slowly!}

This is me….LOVE the built-in light!

We came – we “saw”…..{haa.. I got jokes!]

Everyone’s shelf turned out a little bit different but they all were beautiful!

but the best part…WE BUILT IT OURSELVES!

Home Depot even provided stain and paint to finish the shelves but we skipped that step {and a finished photo – oopps!!} We had a good reason though…our husbands were waiting with pizza and brews!

This was Brenda’s first ever build…she gave it a thumbs up!

Did I mention these workshops are FREE? They take place once a month, so check with your local Home Depot store if you’d like to attend.  You can register here.
